Our Story
The Green Goblin nursery started from humble beginnings in 1986 in Zululand. The nursery moved to Durban (Natal) in 1991, and by 1995, African bulbs had become the mainstay of the nursery.
The Ansell Collection of cyrtanthus was added in 1995 and this collection has been added to, and now comprises of one of the largest and most beautiful collections of Natal Cyrtanthus in the world. The Ansell Collection began in 1945 in Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia) and was moved to South Africa in 1967. This is one of the oldest documented collections of cyrtanthus that is in private hands.
